Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Bern Cantonal Police procured licences for renewal of its server virtualisation platform. The police has used VMware exclusively as its server virtualisation platform since 2010 to optimise hardware usage, and the deployment has grown from a small number of licences to a larger installation. The contract was awarded through an open procedure. The buyer sought a single provider able to act as a reseller supplying Broadcom (VMware) licences as well as VDI Horizon from Omnissa under a framework agreement. The contract was won by DE_Swisscom (Schweiz) AG, with an awarded value of EUR 6,025,923.15.
