Summary

Machine-generated summary

A pilot study to test and further develop the mandatory modules of the European Pollinator Monitoring scheme (EU-PoMS) foreseen under the EU Restoration Regulation. The modules cover butterflies, wild bees, hoverflies, moths and rare species, and will be trialled through field surveys carried out by professional cartographers. The contractor will develop organisational structures, test survey concepts for selected rare and endangered species where needed, and assess whether the modules can be implemented nationwide in Germany in terms of personnel and financial resources. The results will also show whether recorded species and individual counts are sufficient to underpin the planned indicator calculations, with the first EU reporting year set for 2030.
