Summary

Machine-generated summary

Procurer seeks a contractor to restore the carriage canopies (rijtuigkappen) and awning (luifel) of Amsterdam Centraal station. The station, built 1881 to 1889 by P.J.H. Cuypers in a neo-Gothic and Renaissance revival style with much decorative sculpture, has been a national monument since 1974. The works form part of a wider renovation prompted by the construction of the North/South metro line, aimed at restoring the historic station to its former glory while meeting 21st century standards for safe and comfortable travel, including reinstating former functions. Details of the scope are given in the tender dossier.
