Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Dutch Ministry involved is procuring an independent chain coordination team for the breakthrough project 'Demand creation for circular plastic'. The project aims to build demand and supply of high-quality recycled, circular and renewable (biobased) plastic, creating a growth path for the market ahead of the European Packaging Regulation and other product rules, with a focus on capacity building and innovation across the chain. The initiative arose with involvement of the Plastic Table and the Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition and is supported by a consortium of ten companies, including Albert Heijn, Coca-Cola, FrieslandCampina, Nestlé and Unilever. Value chain companies such as collectors, sorters, converters and producer responsibility organisations are involved from the start to help organise the availability of circular plastic. The tender is published in early September.

Description
