De afdeling Waterketen is verantwoordelijk voor het transporteren en zuiveren van afvalwater, en het verwerken van slib. Om deze taken verantwoord uit te kunnen voeren dienen de assets duurzaam, toekomstbestendig, betrouwbaar en doelmatig te worden beheerd, waarbij continuïteit van de dienstverlening en het beheersen van risico’s centraal staan. Om deze opgave verder vorm te geven, is de afdeling Waterketen bezig om de verdere professionalisering van assetmanagement te versterken. Hierbij is behoefte aan deskundige advisering en ondersteuning op zowel strategisch, tactisch als operationeel niveau. De organisatie wil zich verder ontwikkelen in de wijze waarop assetmanagement optimaal kan worden ingericht en toegepast, waarbij nadrukkelijk aandacht is voor de samenhang tussen prestaties, risico’s, kosten en de levensduur van assets. Met deze marktconsultatie wil de afdeling Waterketen de markt toetsen voor een mogelijke opdracht voor adviesdiensten op het gebied van assetmanagement. De consultatie is bedoeld om inzicht te verkrijgen in de beschikbare kennis, expertise, aanpakken en marktontwikkelingen. Daarnaast wil de afdeling toetsen welke vormen van dienstverlening passend en haalbaar zijn bij de huidige en toekomstige ontwikkelopgaven.
