Open race

No supplier dominates: 5 different companies have won the last 5 comparable contracts from this buyer over 5 years. This is a genuinely open race.

Based on 5 comparable awards by this buyer in this sector over 5 years. Every verdict is recorded before the outcome and graded against the award notice. How we score ourselves.

Description

The Department currently owns, supports and maintains 43 websites via the Digital Transformation Unit. These sites cover a range of Business Activities from Housing, Heritage, Fire Safety, Local Government Oversight and supporting Ireland’s Electoral Processes. Most of these sites are WordPress based or static html (whereby WordPress is used to generate a site). The Department is seeking to award a contract to a single service provider to provide website hosting, support and future website development assistance for the Department’s websites. In addition, to supporting the Department’s websites online, there will be a requirement to provide an onsite support presence, along with The Digital Transformation Unit (DTU), on the run up to and during events such as the Presidential election and/or Referenda or at any other times as required by the DTU.

Expected award price

likely award for this notice, from its published estimate of €400,000
€396,000 to €400,000

Comparable awards in this country and sector came in at a median of 100% of their published estimate, half of them between 99% and 100%, based on 330 awards of the last 3 years.

Each award is compared with the estimate of the same lots, framework agreements excluded. A published estimate may include options and renewals, so an award under it is not always a discount.
