Interim Ukrainian Displaced Persons Accommodation Service

South Lanarkshire Council awarded a contract for an interim accommodation service for Ukrainian displaced persons. The council supports humanitarian programmes arising from conflict abroad, and the Scottish Government asked local authorities to source suitable accommodation so that Ukrainian displaced persons can move on from hotel accommodation, which is intended as a very temporary option. The contract was awarded to the Salvation Army Trustee Company (The) on 14 February 2025 for EUR 1,364,590.62. The service provides refuge accommodation and support in response to significantly increased demand across the United Kingdom following the conflict in Ukraine.
