Summary

Machine-generated summary

The buyer is procuring power supply systems for the FAIR accelerator facility under construction in Darmstadt, Germany. The equipment consists of CPS (Clean Power Supply) and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) modules with external battery modules, all designed for installation in 19-inch racks. These racks will be positioned along the beamline of the Super-FRS (Superconducting Fragment Separator), part of the SFRS and NUSTAR experiments, either directly at the beamline or in niches. Because the connected components, such as detectors and electronics, are sensitive to power fluctuations and interruptions, the CPS modules must deliver interference-free power while the UPS modules with batteries maintain supply during outages. Quantities: 60 CPS 4 kVA units, 7 UPS 4 kVA units, 8 UPS 7.5 kVA units, each with rack rails, plus 15 external battery expansion boxes for UPS.

Description

The required CPS and UPS modules, as well as the external battery modules, serve as power supply systems. They are installed in 19"-racks. These racks are located along the beamline of the Super-FRS (Superconducting Fragment Separator), either directly at the beamline or in niches. The Super-FRS is part of the FAIR accelerator facility (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research), which is currently under construction in Darmstadt, Germany. At their operating location, the systems are therefore exposed to increased radiation levels and are difficult to access. Since the components connected to the racks (e.g., detectors and electronics) are sensitive to random power fluctuations and interruptions, the CPS (Clean Power Supply) modules are intended to provide possible interference-free power, while the UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) modules, combined with battery units, are used to maintain the power supply in the event of a power failure. 60 pieces of CPS 4 kVA incl. rack rails 7 pieces of UPS 4 kVA incl. rack rails 8 pieces of UPS 7,5 kVA incl. rack rails 15 pieces of External battery expansion box for UPS
