Description

ECMWF, as the Entrusted Entity for the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS), invites Tenders for the development of new applications of the Solar Radiation service element to support users with a focus on the solar energy community, taking stock of the full range of datasets and products developed within CAMS. ECMWF intends to award a single Framework Agreement for a period of maximum 18 months, which shall be implemented via a single multi-annual Service Contract expected to commence in Q1 2027. The successful bidder will propose a downstream decision-support application exploiting CAMS Solar Radiation Service products, aerosol information and associated Copernicus datasets that could help improve renewable energy production, infrastructure resilience and operational efficiency. The bidders shall demonstrate how multiple CAMS service elements can be integrated to generate high-value products and services for the renewable energy community. The use of complementary Earth observation data, in-situ observations, and products delivered by other Copernicus Services, including C3S (Climate monitoring) and CLMS (Land monitoring), is strongly encouraged and shall be clearly documented. The objective of this contract is to develop and demonstrate operational downstream applications supporting one or more of the following domains: dynamic cleaning scheduling, soiling risks assessment, solar asset planning and site selections, grid integration … to support operational decision-making in the solar energy sector.
