Summary

Machine-generated summary

This research project concerns the development of adaptable structural noise protection solutions for road traffic noise hotspots where conventional measures such as noise barriers, partial covers or full enclosures are not feasible due to topography, tight space, difficult ground conditions, existing infrastructure or heritage protection. The constructions must meet technical requirements under ZTV ING (structural stability, durability, traffic safety) and achieve an immission noise reduction of at least 3 dB(A), targeting 5 dB(A) or more, without being classified as tunnels under RABT/EABT. Work proceeds in phases: literature research on lightweight constructions, structural design and stability modelling including bionic approaches and metamaterials, development of selected concepts into deployable noise protection structures, verification in at least one model area using FEM/BEM simulation, and evaluation including an economic analysis and recommendations for action.

Description

Bid or no-bid?

Six questions before you commit a team. Under each one, what the register holds on it. The answers are yours.

  1. In your favour:

Do we meet every eligibility criterion?

Open procedure: any interested supplier may submit a bid.

  2. Your call:

Can we deliver this with the team we have?

The register holds nothing on this. The official documents will.

  3. Your call:

Do we have two comparable references?

Comparable work is in Research & development.

  4. In your favour:

Is the deadline realistic for a proper offer?

58 days left, 43 of them working days.

  5. Your call:

Is there a margin at the likely winning price?

In this country this kind of contract is usually awarded for between €215,482 and €1.4M.

  6. Your call:

    Do we know this buyer?

The buyer has 27 notices in the register and no pattern of winners yet.
