Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Verband Region Stuttgart (VRS), the authority responsible for rail passenger transport in the Stuttgart region, Germany, intends to purchase at least 89 second-hand trains, ideally of type ET 430, with a remaining service life of about 10 to 12 years, for use on the Stuttgart S-Bahn lines from around 2034. The contract also includes maintenance of the vehicles, probably for 10 to 12 years, under an availability or similar model, ensuring the vehicles remain operational.
