Nicht offener Planungswettbewerb nach RPW mit vorgeschaltetem Bewerbungsverfahren Neubau „Tor zur Literatur“ Marbach am Neckar Realisierungswettbewerb mit 20 Teilnehmer-/-innen Die Deutsche Schillergesellschaft e.V. plant den Neubau eines Forschungs- archivs „Tor zur Literatur“. Unter diesem Titel soll der Literaturcampus des DLA, bestehend aus Schiller-Nationalmuseum (1903), Archivgebäude (1972) samt Erweiterungsbau (1995), Literaturmuseum der Moderne (2006) und Collegienhaus (1993), auf der Schillerhöhe in Marbach am Neckar um ein Forschungsarchiv erweitert werden. Der Neubau wird am Standort des heutigen Hermann Zanker Hallen- bades errichtet und soll spätestens im Jahr 2031 fertiggestellt werden. Der Neubau ergänzt das Gebäudeensemble um einen weiteren cam- pusprägenden Baukörper. Erwartet wird, dass sich der Neubau als architektonisch bedeutsames, nachhaltiges, möglichst klimaoptimiertes Bauwerk präsentiert. In dem neu entstehenden Gebäude sind die Funktionen Forschungsarchiv, Ma- gazin, Digitalisierung, Konferenz- und Veranstaltungsräumlichkeiten, abgetrennte Arbeitsplätze sowie Büros für die Verwaltung und andere Nebenräume und funktional zugeordnete Räumlichkeiten unterzubrin- gen. Das Neubauprojekt „Tor zur Literatur“ als Leuchtturmprojekt, ergänzt städtebaulich im Zuge der Gartenschau im Jahr 2033, das architektonisch bedeutsame Gebäudeensemble des neu entstehenden Literaturparks auf der Schillerhöhe und trägt campusprägend zur Erweiterung des Deutschen Literaturarchivs bei. Mit dem Verfahren eines Planungswettbewerbs soll auf der Grundlage der Vorentwürfe die beste architektonische, wirtschaftliche und nachhaltige, sowie städtebauliche und freiräumliche Planung für die zu realisierende Hochbaumaßnahme gefunden werden. Ziel ist weiter, ein in Planung, Bau und Betrieb wirtschaftlich optimiertes Gebäude, das in der architek- tonischen und funktionalen Umsetzung der Programmflächen und der Wirtschaftlichkeit (Bau, Betrieb, Zweckmäßigkeit und Unterhaltung) den Anforderungen der Ausloberin gerecht werden soll.
