Summary

Machine-generated summary

The city of Mainz is seeking a service provider for competition management (Wettbewerbsbetreuung) for an architectural and landscape planning competition concerning the renovation and redesign of the Jockel-Fuchs-Platz and the Freitreppe (grand staircase) next to the Mainz city hall. The square, designed by Arne Jacobsen on the roof of the Rathaus car park and part of the listed monument zone, is to become a climate-friendly and socially fair meeting place representing the state capital. A citizen participation process in 2024/25 produced target visions that must be incorporated. The contracted provider will support the organisation and execution of the planning competition that will lead to the commissioning of a party to implement the project.
