Die Bavarian Health Cloud (BHC) ist eine vom Freistaat Bayern geplante, hochskalierbare Cloud-Plattform, die Gesundheitsdaten für die medizinische Forschung zentral, sicher und rechtmäßig bereitstellt. Die Plattform wird von der Bavarian Health Cloud GmbH, einer 100%igen Landesgesellschaft, betrieben. Sie soll die akademische, medizinische und perspektivisch auch die industrielle Forschung im internationalen Wettbewerb stärken. Die Zielsetzung der Ausschreibung ist die Vergabe des technischen Konzeption und der Implementierung dieser Plattform auf Basis bestehender fachlicher Anforderungen. Die Plattform wird initial mit Daten aus den Datenintegrationszentren (DIZ) der sechs bayerischen Universitätsklinika befüllt. Die weiteren Details ergeben sich aus den Unterlagen zum Teilnahmewettbewerb, dort insbesondere aus der Projektkurzbeschreibung.
