Die Stadt Lahr mit ihren Eigenbetrieben Bau- und Gartenbetrieb Lahr (BGL) dem Spital-Wohnen und Pflege sowie dem Abwasserzweckverband Raumschaft Lahr möchte seinen Beschäftigten einen Anreiz geben, ihr Mobilitätsverhalten klimafreundlicher zu gestalten. Regelmäßiges Radfahren trägt dazu maßgeblich bei, außerdem fördert es die körperliche Fitness. Arbeitgeber haben grundsätzlich ein Interesse an gesunden und leistungsfähigen Beschäftigten. Deshalb hat sich die Stadt Lahr dazu entschlossen, ihren Beschäftigten Fahrräder und Pedelecs im Rahmen des Fahrrad-Leasingmodells zu überlassen. Aktuell sind ca. 919 Beschäftigte des Auftraggebers und 216 Beschäftigte der bezugsberechtigt. Auf Basis einer internen Umfrage zeigten etwa 70 Beschäftigte ihr Interesse an Fahrrädern/Pedelecs.
