Zielsetzung dieser Fördermaßnahme ist die Unterstützung eines effektiven und technologieneutralen Breitbandausbaus im Projektgebiet der Stadt Rothenfels zur Errichtung eines nachhaltigen sowie zukunfts- und hochleistungsfähigen Breitbandnetzes (Gigabitnetz) in den unterversorgten Gebieten Der Netzbetreiber, dem nach Abschluss dieses Auswahlverfahrens der Zuschlag erteilt wird, erhält eine Dienstleistungskonzession zum Aufbau und Betrieb eines gigabitfähigen Netzes für das Erschließungsgebiet der Stadt Rothenfels. Hierfür plant, errichtet und betreibt der bezuschlagte Bieter die erforderlichen passiven und aktiven Netzinfrastruktur mit allen nach Regeln der Technik anzuwendenden Tiefbauleistungen und Komponenten, die zur Erschließung der unterversorgten Teilnehmer mit einem hochleistungsfähigen Gibabit-Netz erforderlich sind.
