Knoten FFM HBF, Neubau Gleis 25 Als Teilbaumaßnahmen des Projekts „Knoten Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof - Frankfurt Süd“ soll der Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof um das Bahnhofsgleis Gleis 25 erweitert werden. Der Neubau umfasst den Hauptbahnhof sowie das zugehörige Vorfeld und wird auf der Nordseite des Bahnhofs errichtet. Das Vorhaben beinhaltet folgende Ausführungsinhalte: Rückbau bzw. Anpassung des bestehenden Bahnsteigdaches von Gleis 24 sowie die Herstellung eines neuen Bahnsteigdaches unter Berücksichtigung des Bestands, Rückbau des Vordaches im Anschluss der Entsorgungsstelle, Herstellen des neuen Gleises Herstellen eines neuen Mittelbahnsteiges zwischen Bestandsgleis 24 und Gleis 25 unter Beachtung der betrieblichen und baulichen Zwänge sowie der betrieblichen Aufgaben, Herstellen der konstruktiven Belange unterhalb des neuen Gleises in der Postpaketkammer und angebundenem Zufahrtstunnel unter Berücksichtigung der definierten Rahmenbedingungen (z. B. Denkmalschutz, parallele Projekte), Spurplananpassungen aufgrund der Bahnsteigbreite, Neue Weichenverbindung mit Anschluss an das Vorfeld, Anpassung der technischen Streckenausrüstung (Oberleitung, Leit- und Sicherungstechnik, Telekommunikation, EEA-Anlagen). Arbeiten je Los genauer Beschreiben, aus Perspektive "Elektrofirma" Der Neubau des Gleises 25 ist Teil eines Gesamtkonzeptes, welches die Leistungsfähigkeit des Knotens Frankfurt durch Beseitigung von Kreuzungs- und Folgekonflikten sowie Engpässen verbessern soll. Einer dieser Engpässe ist der Mangel an ausreichender Bahnsteigkapazität zur Hauptverkehrszeit im Bahnhof Frankfurt (M) Hbf. Durch den Bau eines weiteren Gleises soll die Erhöhung der Gesamtqualität durch Zuwachs der Bahnsteigkapazität, durch die Bündelung des Nahverkehrs auf der Nordseite des Frankfurter Hauptbahnhofs und der damit verbundenen Entflechtung der Verkehrsströme, die Erhöhung der Zuverlässigkeit, die Flexibilität und damit Verfügbarkeit der Verkehre im Rahmen nachfolgender Projekte sicher erfolgen.
