Description

Die Stadt Gronau beabsichtigt die Entwicklung ihrer Flächen, die südlich entlang der Enscheder Straße an der Grenze zu den benachbarten Niederlanden liegen - angrenzend an das Stadtgebiet von Glanerbrug und Enschede. Während auf der niederländischen Seite die urbanisierten Flächen bis an die Grenze heranreichen, findet sich auf dem Gebiet der Stadt Gronau ein offener Landschaftskorridor. Nach dem Neubau der B 54 weiter südlich bildet die Enscheder Straße inzwischen nicht mehr die Hauptverbindung zwischen Gronau und Enschede. Die Stadt Glanerbrug hat in der Folge den Straßenraum bereits neu geordnet. Um eine angemessene Lösung zu finden, wurde ein Wettbewerb mit 15 Teilnehmenden nach RPW 2013 mit anschließendem Verhandlungsverfahren (gem. § 14 Abs. 4 Pkt. 8 VgV) vorgesehen. Der Wettbewerb richtete sich an Architekten*innen.
