Summary

Machine-generated summary

The Landschaftsverband Westfalen-Lippe (LWL) is procuring the development of a master plan for the LWL Museum Henrichshuette in Hattingen, part of its 'Museums for Industrial Culture' network and one of the most significant sites of German industrial history. The plan covers the heritage-compatible repair and long-term preservation of 39 buildings and structures on the museum site, including the oldest surviving blast furnace in the region and one of only two surviving Bessemer steelworks worldwide. Services are organised in five modules: survey of the existing structures, securing of buildings, weather protection, a restoration concept and a cost estimate. The master plan will form the basis for step-by-step conservation measures and future investment decisions.
