Summary

Machine-generated summary

The City of Trier is seeking landscape architecture practices to provide planning services for the project 'Climate Space Trier - Historic Alleenring', part of the federal programme for adapting urban and rural areas to climate change. The Alleenring, a green ring around the historic city centre, is to be made climate-resilient, with around 40% of its old trees damaged by heat, drought, sealing and traffic impacts. The planning area covers about 11 hectares, to be developed as a holistic blue-green concept. The northern part will be concretely redesigned. Particular attention is required for links with the parallel 'Redesign of the Porta Nigra surroundings' project, heritage and UNESCO World Heritage protection, and assessing traffic areas for conversion to green space.
