Summary

Machine-generated summary

Landscape architecture planning services are sought for the 'Klimaraum Trier - Historischer Alleenring' project, funded under the federal programme for adapting urban and rural areas to climate change. The Alleenring, a green belt around Trier's historic city centre along the former city walls connecting UNESCO World Heritage sites, needs to be made climate-resilient: around 40% of its mature trees are damaged. The planning area covers about 11 hectares, to be developed as a connected blue-green whole, with ecological upgrading, biodiversity promotion and improved public space quality. The northern landscape architecture implementation part will practically develop and redesign open spaces, with close coordination with the parallel 'Porta Nigra surroundings redesign' project and regard for monument, archaeological and World Heritage protection.
