Weiterhin gibt es mehrere stadteigene Liegenschaften wie Häuser oder Wohnungen, dazu auch noch angemieteten Wohnraum. Da es in den letzten Jahren vermehrt zu Problemen mit Feuchtigkeit und Schimmelbildung kommt, beabsichtigt die Stadt Wedel eine Rahmenvereinbarung mit Gutachtern für Feuchteschäden und Bauwerksabdichtung zu schließen. Der Umfang hat sich in den letzten Jahren so erhöht, dass beabsichtigt wird eine Rahmenvereinbarung mit 3 Gutachtern zu schließen, die abwechselnd beauftragt werden sollen. Dies soll dazu dienen, dass keine Abhängigkeiten zwischen Gutachter und Stadt Wedel entstehen.
