Gemeinschaftsklinikum Mittelrhein is procuring a highly available virtualisation platform, including hardware, software licences, vendor support and services, to replace and modernise its existing virtualisation infrastructure. The solution must run around 300 virtual machines in an active-active data centre architecture and match the functions of the current VMware vSphere Enterprise Plus / VMware Cloud Foundation environment, including high availability, automated load balancing, live migration, cross-site operation and central administration. The tender is vendor and technology neutral: both alternative platforms and VMware-based concepts may be offered, with hyperconverged or classic 3-tier architectures, either reusing existing Dell VxRail hardware or replacing it fully. Scope includes integration with the existing Veeam Backup & Replication environment, implementation, knowledge transfer and migration of all virtual machines by 15.03.2027.
