Summary

Machine-generated summary

Heidelberg University Hospital intends to acquire a mobile femtosecond laser for refractive, therapeutic and cataract surgery. The laser system must be usable in several operating rooms and levels without structural modifications, be compact with a footprint of about 60 x 100 cm, and integrate easily into existing operating environments. All applications must be performed without moving the patient, so the laser comes to the patient. Required uses cover refractive procedures (LASIK, CLEAR, intrastromal pockets and rings), therapeutic procedures (lamellar and penetrating keratoplasty, DALK, KeraKlear, intracorneal rings) and cataract procedures (capsulotomy, fragmentation, ARC, incisions). Approval must also cover paediatric cataract surgery, with a low energy concept, high frequency pulse rate and integrated intraoperative OCT imaging.
