Im Zuge der Realisierung des Projektes VDE 8.1 Güterzugstrecke sind im Bauabschnitt zwischen km G 4,5 und km G 6,702 (Vergabepaket 1 - Umbau Süd) zahlreiche Baumaßnahmen notwendig, welche während des gesamten Bauablaufs durch eine Bauüberwachung (BÜW) zu überwachen sind. Die Baumaßnahme umfasst die folgenden Gewerke bzw. Grundleistungen: KIB, Oberbau, OLA, Kabeltiefbau, TK, LST, 50Hz, umweltfachliche BÜW, Geotechnische BÜW, Vermessung, Abfallmanagement, Baubetriebsplanung, Mitwirkung an den Lph. 6 und 7 sowie eisenbahnbetriebliche Leistungen und Sicherungsüberwachung. Das Vergabepaket 1 umfasst die Umverlegung der Bestandsstrecke 5950 sowie die Neuerrichtung eines Trogbauwerks und daran anknüpfend einen Tunnel in offener Bauweise mit circa 505m Länge. Der daran anschließende, im maschinellen Vortrieb herzustellende Güterzugtunnel Fürth (6.500 m lang) ist Bestandteil eines anderen Vergabepaketes. Bedingt durch den hochkomplexen und verketteten Bauablauf ergibt sich im Vergabepaket 1 eine lange Gesamtbauzeit von etwa 10 Jahren. Zu Beginn der Baumaßnahme sind erste Vorabmaßnahmen (insbesondere die Auflösung bestehender OLA-Querfelder im Bf Nbg Großmarkt und umfangreicher Kabeltiefbau) erforderlich. Nach der Vergabe der Hauptbauleistungen wird die Bestandsstrecke 5950 zunächst umfassend umgebaut. Dabei werden unter rollendem Rad nacheinander die durchgehenden Hauptgleise der Strecke nach außen verlegt, um Platz für das zukünftige Trogbauwerk zu schaffen. Es entstehen auch bereits erste Teile des Tunnelbauwerks in offener Bauweise. Nach der Inbetriebnahme der Strecke 5950 im Endzustand (geplant April 2032) beginnt die Herstellung des Trogbauwerks sowie die Fertigstellung des Tunnels in offener Bauweise. Anschließend kann der Einbau des Oberbaus, der technischen Ausrüstung und Oberleitung sowie die Inbetriebnahme der Neubaustrecke 5955 erfolgen, welche bis Ende 2035 abgeschlossen sein soll. Die zu erbringenden Leistungen werden in vier aufeinander folgende Phasen unterteilt. Fest übertragen wird die Überwachung der Vorabmaßnahmen ab April 2026, Mitwirkung an Ausschreibung und Vergabe sowie die anschließende Überwachung der Hauptbauleistung bis zur ersten großen Zwischen-IBN der Strecke 5950 im Dezember 2029. Im Anschluss ist die Errichtung des Tunnelabschnitts in offener Bauweise und die endgültige Verlegung der Strecke 5950 in die vorgesehene Endlage geplant. Diese Baumaßnahmen gehen in der Option 1 auf und sollen bis April 2032 abgeschlossen sein. Die daran anknüpfende Option 2 beinhaltet die vollständige Errichtung der Strecke 5955 inkl. des Trogbauwerks, bis hin zur Durchführung von Probebetrieb und der Gesamtinbetriebnahme im Dezember 2035. Die Option 3 beinhaltet mit dem Projektabschluss verbundenen Restleistungen, insb. die Fortführung von Rechnungsprüfung und Nachtragsbearbeitung.
