Summary

Machine-generated summary

Fernwaermeverbund Niederrhein Duisburg/Dinslaken GmbH & Co. KG, operator of a district heating network of around 40 km serving Moers, Duisburg, Dinslaken and Voerde, is procuring civil engineering and pipeline works to renovate a roughly 2.9 km section of the Rheinvorland line between the Beeckerwerth transfer station and the Rhine culvert. The existing steel jacket pipe system will be converted to plastic jacket pipes (DN 500/800 KMR), largely parallel to the existing route, with the supply line insulated with heat-resistant PIR foam and the return line with PUR foam. The site lies in a landscape protection and floodplain area, requiring nature, soil and water protection measures, a temporary construction road, flood protection planning and a special crossing of the Beeckerwerth dike. Works start in December 2026.
