Zur Erreichung der Klimapositivität verfolgt MVV konsequent ihre Strategie zur Nutzung erneuerbarer Energien. Die geplante Errichtung des Fernwärmenachheizers (FWN) stellt einen zentralen Schritt in der Transformation der Fernwärmeversorgung in Mannheim dar. Vor dem Hintergrund der weiteren kurz- bis mittelfristig anstehenden Stilllegungen der kohlebefeuerten Bestandskraftwerksblöcke der Grosskraftwerk Mannheim AG (GKM) ist die Nachheizung der Fernwärme eine unverzichtbare Maßnahme, um die Versorgungssicherheit und die erforderlichen Temperaturanforderungen im Fernwärmenetz langfristig sicherzustellen. Mit dem FWN wird nicht nur eine zuverlässige Wärmeversorgung gewährleistet, sondern auch ein wesentlicher Beitrag zur Dekarbonisierung der Fernwärme geleistet. Die MVV Grüne Wärme GmbH plant am Standort der Grosskraftwerk Mannheim AG (GKM) in Mannheim-Neckarau die Errichtung und den Betrieb eines Fernwärmenachheizers. Der Fernwärmenachheizer soll im Wesentlichen aus einem Elektrodenkessel mit einer Leistung von 30 MW bestehen. Neben der primären Aufgabe die Nachheizung der Fernwärme sicherzustellen, soll der Elektrodenkessel auch für die Bereitstellung von Sekundärregeleistung genutzt werden. Gegenstand der Ausschreibung ist die Planung, Errichtung und Inbetriebnahme des Fernwärmenachheizers auf dem Gelände der Grosskraftwerk Mannheim AG. Das hier ausgeschriebene Hauptlos Elektrodenkessel (Los EDK) für das Projekt FWN umfasst im Wesentlichen die Verfahrens-, Maschinen- und Anlagentechnik, einschließlich eines 30 MW Elektrodenkessels, einem Dampferzeuger zur Versorgung des bestehenden Fernwärmespeichers mit Polsterdampf, Wärmetauscher, Pumpen, Rohrleitungen, Armaturen sowie der Elektro- und Leittechnik und der vollständigen Bautechnik. Der Leistungsumfang umfasst im Wesentlichen: Entwurfs-/ und Genehmigungsplanung, Ausführungsplanung, Konstruktion, Beschaffung, Fertigung, Lieferung, Errichtung, Einbindung in der Infrastruktur der Bestandsanlage, Qualitätssicherung, Schulung des Betriebspersonals, Inbetriebsetzung, Probebetrieb, Dokumentation.
