Stadtwerke Münster GmbH intends to build an open-air solar thermal plant in the Münster-Mecklenbeck district to support the existing district heating network of the city of Münster. The combined project Mecklenbeck covers the planning and tendering of an open-air solar thermal plant with a planned gross collector area of about 85,000 square metres on a site of approximately 19 hectares, plus an open-air photovoltaic plant mainly designed to cover the operator's own consumption.
