Stadtwerke Münster GmbH intends to build an open-field solar thermal plant in the Mecklenbeck district of Münster, Germany, to support the city's existing district heating network. The combined project includes planning and tendering of a solar thermal plant with a planned gross collector area of about 85,000 square metres on a site of roughly 19 hectares, plus an open-field photovoltaic plant mainly sized to cover the operator's own consumption.
