Die Harzwasserwerke GmbH planen am Standort des Trinkwasserhochbehälters Groß Döhren (Gemeinde Liebenburg) die Erweiterung der bestehenden Anlage um einen dritten Trinkwasserhochbehälter (HB III). Der als runder Stahlbetonbehälter ausgeführte Neubau mit einem Speichervolumen von ca. 20.000 m³ wird nördlich des bestehenden Hochbehälters HB II errichtet. Zum Bauwerk gehören die Wasserkammer, ein vollständig erdangedecktes Bedienungshaus sowie ein oberirdisches Treppenhaus mit Zugang zum Behälterdach und den technischen Anlagen. Im Zuge der Maßnahme sind umfangreiche Tief-, Rohbau- und Ausbauarbeiten sowie die Herstellung der verfahrenstechnischen, maschinen- und elektrotechnischen Ausrüstung auszuführen. Hierzu zählen insbesondere die Rohrleitungs- und Armaturenanlagen, Krananlagen, Lüftungs- und Elektroinstallationen sowie die Einbindung in die bestehende Prozessleit- und Fernwirktechnik. Darüber hinaus erfolgt die hydraulische Einbindung des neuen Hochbehälters in das bestehende Versorgungssystem durch Umbauarbeiten im benachbarten Kraftwerk. Hierzu sind bestehende Rohrleitungsachsen zurückzubauen und neu zu errichten, Armaturen zu ergänzen sowie Anpassungen an Betriebs-, Steuerungs- und Sicherheitseinrichtungen vorzunehmen. Weitere Arbeiten umfassen Anpassungen am Hochbehälter HB II, Nachrüstungen am Hochbehälter HB I sowie die Herstellung provisorischer Anlagenzustände zur Sicherstellung des Betriebs während der Bauzeit. Die Trinkwasserversorgung über die bestehenden Hochbehälter I und II ist während der gesamten Bau- und Umbauphase weitgehend unterbrechungsfrei aufrechtzuerhalten. Betriebliche Belange des laufenden Anlagenbetriebs sind daher bei Planung und Ausführung besonders zu berücksichtigen.
