Das geplante Bauvorhaben befindet sich im Stadtgebiet der hessischen Landeshauptstadt Wiesbaden in der Gemarkung Biebrich. Der nächstgelegene Bahnhof Wiesbaden-Ost liegt in ca. 700 m südlicher Richtung an der Strecke 3603. Das Kreuzungsbauwerk liegt zwischen dem Salzbach und der Autobahn A 671 auf der elektrifizierten Strecke 3505 im Richtungsgleis Wiesbaden Hbf-Wiesbaden Biebrich bei km 44,020. Das Bauwerk überführt die elektrifizierten Strecken 3603 Frankfurt Hbf-Wiesbaden Hbf in km 38,4 und 3528 Mainz Kaiserbrücke Ost-Wiesbaden Hbf in km 6,9. Die von der Erneuerung betroffenen Strecke ist die Strecke 3505 Richtungsgleis. Die Erneuerung des Kreuzungsbauwerks sieht eine eingleisige Fachwerkbrücke. Diese wird als Einfeldbauwerk mit 100m Stützweite jeweils hinter den bestehenden denkmalgeschützten Widerlagern des vorhandenen Bauwerks gegründet. Der Kreuzungswinkels beträgt 19,1 gon. Die Widerlager werden ist in Ortbeton mit Tiefgründung hergestellt. Die Ausbildung des Stahlfachwerkkonstruktion erfolgt gemäß Ril 804.9010, Kap.2. Der Überbau ist mit insgesamt 4 Kalottenlagern längsbeweglich und querfest auf den Widerlagern gelagert. Die querfeste Lagerreihe ist auf der Innenseite des Gleisbogens angeordnet. Längskräfte sowie Längsverformungen der Brücke werden über einen Steuerstab (System Meyer-Wunstorf) auf beide Widerlager verteilt. Die Gleislage wird um ca. 1,70m in der Mitte der neuen Brücke erhöht, somit ergibt sich einen neuen Oberbauabschnitt von ca. 620m. Im Anschluss zur neuen geplanten Fachwerkbrücke Richtung südwest befindet sich eine denkmalgeschützte Gewölbebrücke. Diese muss aufgrund der neuen Erdlasten (wegen Dammerhöhung) gesichert werden. Das Gewölbe wird mit einem Stahlbetondeckel überbaut und somit dauerhaft entlastet. Das Deckelbauwerk über dem Gewölbe wird auf einer Länge von ca. 58,35 m von km 44,0+87 bis km 44,1+45 (Richtungsgleis Strecke 3505) als Rahmentragwerk errichtet, welches auf 2 überschnittenen Bohrpfahlwänden aufgelagert ist und Horizontallasten planmäßig über Schrägpfähle abträgt. Direkt im Anschluss an das Deckelbauwerk muss ab km 44,145 der neue Bahnkörper abgefangen werden. Von km 44,145 bis km 44,183 ist eine neue Fahrwegplatte mit Tiefgründung gem. Ril 836 geplant. Da sich im Anschluss an die Fahrwegplatte zwischen km 44,183 bis km 44,278 rechts des Richtungsgleises Strecke 3505 immer noch der Anrampungsbereich befindet und das Gleis gleichzeitig in Teilbereichen bis zu 1,15 m nach rechts abrückt, wird hier eine Stützkonstruktion auf ca. 100 m Länge notwendig. An dieser Stelle ist eine Spundwand mit Rückverankerung und Kopfbalken aus Stahlbeton geplant. Am nördlichen linken Dammfuß des neuen Richtungsgleises Strecke 3505 im Anschluss an die Fachwerkbrücke werden in etwa zwischen km 43,890 und km 43,920 sowie zwischen km 43,943 und km 43,973 Fertigteil-Winkelstützwände auf einer Länge von insgesamt 51 m zum Schutz der Hauptkabeltresse notwendig. Die Winkelstützwände sind außerhalb von Eisenbahnverkehrslasten auf einer Magerbetonschicht und darunter liegender Frostschutzschicht zu gründen
