Germany - Construction of sewage pumping stations - Civil engineering works

As part of the project to centralise the wastewater treatment plant at Grossburgwedel, a new pumping station (PW Fuhrberg) is to be built in 2026, together with a pressure pipeline between the treatment plants in Fuhrberg and Grossburgwedel and a gravity pipeline between PW 16 in Grasbruchweg and PW Fuhrberg. The new pumping station lies next to the Fuhrberg treatment plant in the town of Burgwedel, Region Hannover, Lower Saxony, which operates a plant serving about 2,400 population equivalents. Works include removal and disposal of about 1,080 m2 of vegetation cover, about 1,300 m3 of wet excavation, about 875 m2 of overlapping bored pile wall, backfilling and compaction, plate load tests, trench support and design of a groundwater lowering system.
