Summary

Machine-generated summary

The University Hospital Wuerzburg plans a major expansion and modernisation of the radiopharmacy area within the Clinic and Outpatient Clinic for Nuclear Medicine in building A4 (ZIM). The nuclear medicine department manufactures radiopharmaceuticals itself for diagnosis and therapy and has operated its own cyclotron since 2011 to produce short-lived radionuclides. The project extends the existing cyclotron facility by constructing an additional hot cell designed for production, which will replace the current quality control area. The hot cell will be positioned to allow access for maintenance from an unclassified area. The change of use and production processes must comply with the requirements of a GMP process. A feasibility study and an inventory of the existing unit and technical installations have been carried out.
