Die RVK ist ein Verkehrsunternehmen dessen Kern-Verkehrsgebiet sich über den Kreis Euskirchen, den Rheinisch-Bergischen Kreis und den linksrheinischen Rhein-Sieg-Kreis erstreckt. Die Leistungserbringung erfolgt sowohl auf eigenen Linien als auch im Auftrag anderer Verkehrsunternehmen. Die RVK beabsichtigt im Rahmen des Bauvorhabens die Errichtung eines Betriebshofes für Brennstoffzellen- und batterieelektrisch betriebene Omnibusse auf. Das ca. 13.500 m² große Baugrundstück liegt in Bensberg, einem Stadtteil der Stadt Bergisch-Gladbach. Das Gebiet liegt östlich der L195 Friedrich-Ebert-Straße und westlich der Straße Steinhaus. Auf dem Betriebsgelände sollen ein Stützbauwerk mit Wasserstoffproduktionsanlage, ein Büro- und Verwaltungsgebäude mit Parkdeck und Inspektionshalle, 3 Buscarports, eine Portalwaschanlage für Busse und die zugehörigen Verkehrsflächen entstehen. Auf dem Betriebsgelände sollen eine asphaltierte Verkehrsfläche und zwei beheizte Rampen sowie die Entwässerung des Betriebsgeländes entstehen. Die Verkehrsfläche erstreckt sich über rd. 8.000 m², die Fläche der Rampen beträgt ca. 550 m². Für die Entwässerung sind rd. 520 m Kanal zzgl. der dazugehörigen Schächte und Anschlussleitungen herzustellen. Zusätzlich sind rund 4.200 m Kabelleerrohre mit den entsprechenden Kabelzugschächten zu verlegen. Die ausgeschriebenen Leistungen umfassen u.a. Erdarbeiten, Entwässerungskanalarbeiten, Druckrohrleitungen für Abwasser, Kabelleitungstiefbauarbeiten und Straßen- und Wegearbeiten.
