Udbuddet vedrører produktion og levering af mad til borgere i eget hjem, der er visiteret til madservice i henhold til servicelovens § 83 og ældrelovens § 13. Ved mad forstås en hovedret, en biret og en salat, der kan enten kan være af typen normalkost eller specialkost. Ydelsen omfatter desuden administration af ordningen, herunder udarbejde madplaner, modtage bestillinger, afbestillinger, pauser m.v. Det bemærkes, at ydelsen er omfattet af reglerne om frit valg. For at give kommunens borgere denne mulighed, er det intentionen at indgå aftaler med to leverandører. Værdien af den samlede aftale udgør 8,4 mio. kr. Kommunen har aktuelt 93 borgere visiteret til madservice.
