Belgium - Business and management consultancy and related services - Review of the Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU(2017)821)

The European Commission in Belgium is procuring consultancy services to support the 2027 review of the Conflict Minerals Regulation (EU) 2017/821, required every three years under Article 17(2). The first review was published on 24 September 2024. The 2027 review will focus on improving implementation and enforcement in the EU, analysing 3TG supply chains feeding into the EU market, the uptake of due diligence by EU companies, and the role of due diligence schemes. It will also identify ways to ease burdens on businesses, notably SMEs, without changing reporting requirements and while keeping alignment with the OECD standard. The work is desk-based and includes stakeholder consultations.
