Deze opdracht bestaat uit de verlening van diensten op het gebied van technische keuringen van producten, materialen en montages die in fabrieken of werkplaatsen worden vervaardigd, voorafgaand aan de uitvoering ervan op bouwwerven, uitgevoerd in opdracht van NMBS. “Bouwwerken” staat voor bouwkunde werkzaamheden en voor nieuwbouw-, uitbreidings- of renovatiewerken van gebouwen of perrons in het Belgisch spoorwegdomein, met uitsluiting van de spoorweginfrastructuur. “Technische keuringsdiensten” staat hoofzakelijk voor technische controle op de volgende producten, materialen en montages: • Constructiestaal • Aluminiumproducten en aluminiumlegeringen • Corrosiewerende systemen • Gestorte beton, gewapend beton en spanbeton • Gemengde constructies (staal-beton) • Draagstukken voor kunstwerken • Uitzettingsvoegen • Elektrische uitrustingen (borden, …) De controles moeten gebaseerd worden op de resultaten van testproeven (materiaalweerstanden, corrosie, enz.) gemaakt op proefstuk of steekproef indien nodig. De technische keuringen worden uitgevoerd op producties die voornamelijk in de Europese Economische Ruimte vervaardigd worden. Buiten de Europese Economische Ruimte vervaardigde producties zijn echter nog steeds mogelijk.
