De opdrachten en taken die moeten worden uitgevoerd door de opdrachtnemer die met de externe dienstverlening inzake preventie en bescherming op het werk is belast, zijn - samengevat en niet-exhaustief - de volgende:  het gezondheidstoezicht;  de samenwerking met de IDPB en de ondersteuning van deze dienst;  de uitvoering van de taken en opdrachten m.b.t. de psychosociale aspecten en degene die meer bepaald betrekking hebben op de problematiek van de taken en opdrachten m.b.t. geweld, pesterijen en ongewenst seksueel gedrag op het werk;  de ondersteuning door de EDPB bij opleidingen voor de hiërarchische lijn en de werknemers inzake preventie en bescherming op het werk;  in samenwerking met de IDPB, de terbeschikkingstelling voor de werknemers van de verschillende diensten en instellingen van documentatie die specifiek betrekking heeft op hun taken inzake preventie en bescherming op het werk.
