I.1 Aanleiding en historiek I.1.1 Nood naar een visienota toekomstig jeugdpatrimonium Binnen het grondgebied van Stad Kortrijk zijn heel wat jeugdverenigingen actief. Gratis huisvesting is een basis uitgangspunt binnen het beleid van de stad. De infrastructuur is echter in veel gevallen in slechte staat. Daarboven zijn de doelstellingen van een klimaatneutraal 2050 en de stijgende bouwkosten een extra uitdaging voor het stadspatrimonium. Dit gaf de aanleiding tot het uitwerken van een gedreven visie over de toekomstige investeringsprojecten voor jeugdinfrastructuur. Hierbinnen werden lijnen uitgezet naar een betere bezettingsgraad van lokalen, een circulair materiaalgebruik, modulariteit en aanpasbaarheid van de gebouwen, gebruiksvriendelijkheid en eenvoud van technieken,.. Deze krachtlijnen zijn uitgewerkt in een visienota die als handleiding gebruikt wordt bij het uitwerken van toekomstige projecten. Deze visienota wordt als basis gehanteerd bij deze bouwprojecten. I.1.2 Gedeeld ruimtegebruik vs locatiezoektocht Met oog op een hogere graad van ruimtedelen werd in aanvulling op de visienota een clusteroefening uitgewerkt voor de jeugdlokalen. Binnen een kader van gebieden en raakvlakken binnen verenigingen worden hierin potentiële samenhuizingen in kaart gebracht. Binnen het gebied Rollegem is er slechts één jeugdvereniging. Hierdoor werden andere deelpartners onderzocht. Binnen een afgerond patrimoniumonderzoek werd op site Weimeersen een geschikte match gevonden met sport. In Marke zijn de betrokken jeugdverenigingen reeds gehuisvest op de huidige site ‘De Krinkel’ waar een geschikte match is om ruimtes onderling te delen.
