Description

Die gegenwärtigen Switches der OCTOPUS Classic Familie der Firma Hirschmann sind EoL. Aktuell sind Modelle mit 16-Ports und 24-Ports in Verwendung. Als Nachfolge stehen seit einiger Zeit die neuen Switches von diversen Herstellern zur Verfügung. Die neuen Geräte unterstützen einen 1 Gbit/s Backbone oder höher. Das Netzwerk auf den MUTZ-Flotte ein 100 Mbit/s -Ring, der aber während des Projektes durch einen 1 Gbit/s Ring oder höher ausgebaut wird. Aktuell sind alle Switches Layer 2. Gemäss neuem Netzwerkkonzept werden bei jedem Endwagen am Ende des Netzwerkringes beim PLC-Modem Switches Layer 3 benötigt. Alle anderen Switches benötigen Layer 2. Pro Fahrzeug bedeutet dies: ·        Mutz 4-teilig o  Switch Layer 2 mit 16 Ports à 3 Stk. o  Switch Layer 2 mit 24 Ports à 3 Stk. o  Switch Layer 3 mit 24 Ports à 2 Stk. ·        Mutz 6-teilig (Option 1) o  Switch Layer 2 mit 16 Ports à 7 Stk. o  Switch Layer 2 mit 24 Ports à 3 Stk. o  Switch Layer 3 mit 24 Ports à 2 Stk.
