Summary

Machine-generated summary

Unite Procurement UK Limited, acting on behalf of the UK Ministry of Defence, seeks suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform for the purchase of 100 spare battery carriers for the Detector Special Purpose (DSP) 27, a hand-carried detector unit. The part must match NSN 6160-99-667-2326. DSP 27 was developed as an urgent operational requirement by DSTL and Gill Research and Development Ltd, who own the intellectual property rights and manufacturer's data pack, so a pre-existing design option from the OEM will be used. Delivery is immediate, with a one-off payment on delivery and a short inspection of each item as acceptance. No ongoing contract is planned.

Description

Unite Procurement UK Limited (part of Unite Holding SE), on behalf of the Ministry of Defence, is seeking suppliers to join the Unite Procurement Platform to support the procurement of spare battery carriers for Detector Special Purpose (DSP) 27. There is a requirement for a stock of spare battery carriers for Detector Special Purpose (DSP) 27. There is no other equipment which can be used in place of DSP 27. DSP 27 was brought in as a UOR, made by DSTL and Gill Research and Development Ltd, who now own the IPR and Manufacturers Data Pack. DSP 27 is a hand carried detector unit that consists of a lower 'Passive' receiving antenna head, main body, carry handle / control panel, battery carrier and upper receiving antenna. Purchase of x100 battery carriers to prevent a capability gap. This is a procurement of a spare part only. The battery carrier must be NSN 6160-99-667-2326. Milestones are not expected - immediate purchase will be the only output. Upon delivery, a short inspection of each item will be undertaken to ensure it is the correct part as expected. Success here will be seen as acceptance. OEM owns the IPR. Government Furnished Supplies Not required. Approach A pre-existing option already exists, developed by the OEM (who own the IPR and Technical Data Pack) and is deemed appropriate by the Requirements Manager. Payment One off payment paid on delivery. Contract Management Arrangements No ongoing contract. End of Contract/Exit Strategy Not applicable. Final Reminders This item already exists and is in-service. NSN 6160-99-667-2326. How to Apply Interested suppliers should register their interest by contacting Unite Procurement UK Limited and provide details of their product range, modification capabilities, and maintenance services. Further information on the onboarding process for the Unite Procurement Platform will be provided upon expression of interest. The Unite Procurement Platform (Unite | Simplify indirect procurement with our smarter platform) offers a compliant route to market for UK Public Sector organisations to manage low-value, high-volume procurement. Unite Procurement UK Limited does not intend to appoint a sole supplier for this requirement. Instead, multiple suppliers may be onboarded to the Unite Procurement Platform to ensure a diverse and competitive supply base, supporting flexibility and choice for the Ministry of Defence and associated organisations. Suppliers are encouraged to express their interest by the stated closing date to ensure early consideration. However, applications to join the Unite Procurement Platform will be welcome at any time beyond the initial deadline. Unite Procurement UK Limited reserves the right to review and onboard new suppliers on a rolling basis to meet evolving requirements and to maintain a dynamic and responsive supplier network.
