Description

Hankinnan kohteena ovat laboratorio- ja teollisuuskemikaalit. Hankinta on jaettu kahteen (2) osakokonaisuuteen: 1. Laboratoriokemikaalit 2. Teollisuuskemikaalit Osakokonaisuuksiin voi valikoitua samat tai eri toimittajat. VTT:llä tehdään tutkimusta projektiluontoisesti. Tehtävän tutkimuksen luonne vaihtelee ja vaikuttaa hankinnan kohteena olevien laboratoriokemikaalien hankintatarpeisiin. Tilaushistorian perusteella VTT:n nimikemäärä on useita satoja, eikä samoja nimikkeitä välttämättä käytetä toistuvasti. Laboratoriokemikaalien kulutus voi muuttua, kasvaa tai vähentyä, tutkimustoiminnan muuttumisen myötä. Toimittajan on hyvä huomioida, että VTT:llä on paljon kertatilaustarpeita. Osassa tutkimuksista vain tietyn valmistajan tietty tuote tulee kysymykseen, mm. tutkimuksen luotettavuuden varmistamiseksi. Tällaisia ovat esimerkiksi kemikaalit, joita käytetään pitkään kestävissä projekteissa tai akkreditoiduissa analyysimenetelmissä.; VTT:n toimintaympäristö edellyttää, että teollisuuskemikaalien valikoima on laaja ja kattaa sekä standardikäytössä olevat että erikoisempaa tutkimus- ja tuotekehitystyötä tukevat kemikaalit. Joissakin tapauksissa vain tietyn valmistajan tietty kemikaali soveltuu käyttötarkoitukseen, esimerkiksi pitkäkestoisissa tutkimuksissa tai akkreditoiduissa analyysimenetelmissä. Teollisuuskemikaalien kulutus ja nimikemäärä voivat vaihdella huomattavasti eri projekteissa, eikä yksittäisiä nimikkeitä välttämättä tilata toistuvasti.
