Hankinnan kohteena oli: Reittipohjaisten joukkoliikennepalvelujen hankinta bruttomallilla yhteysväleille Valkeakoski-Uskila-Hämeenlinna ja Valkeakoski-Uskila-Pälkäne. Tarkempi kohde ja sopimuskausi on nähtävissä tarjouspyynnön liitteissä. Liikenne hankitaan bruttosopimuksella. Bruttosopimuksella tarkoitetaan palvelusopimusasetuksen (1370/2007) ja erityisalojen hankintalain (1398/2016) tarkoittamaa joukkoliikenteen palvelusopimusta, jossa lipputuloriski on tilaajalla. Hankinnasta syntyvän sopimuksen rahoitukseen osallistuvat hankintayksikkönä toimivan Traficomin lisäksi alueen kunnat. Tämän hankinnan seurauksena syntyvän sopimuksen mukaiselle liikenteelle voidaan myöntää palvelusopimusasetuksen mukainen yksinoikeus vastineena julkisen palvelun velvoitteiden hoitamisesta. Yksinoikeudesta tehdään erillinen päätös ja muiden liikenteiden mahdollisesti aiheuttama jatkuva ja vakava haitta tutkitaan aina tapauskohtaisesti.
