Terveyden ja hyvinvoinnin laitos (THL) hankkii syväjääpakastimet keskitetysti. Syväjääpakastimia hankitaan vuosittain keskimäärin noin 4-15 kappaletta yksittäisinä tilauksina. Tämä on arvio, joka ei sido hankintayksikköä. Hankintasopimukseen ei sisälly minimi tai määräostovelvoitetta, vaan tuotteita tullaan sopimuskaudella hankkimaan tarpeiden mukaan. Hankinnat voivat vuosittain kasvaa tai vähentyä toiminnan muuttumisen myötä. Hankintasopimus tulee voimaan allekirjoituksista, aikaisintaan kuitenkin 02.09.2026 alkaen. Sopimus on voimassa kolme (3) vuotta. Lisäksi tilaaja varaa oikeuden kahden (2) vuoden optiokauteen.
