The Bern cantonal police is procuring various uniform insignia through a public tender divided into three lots. Lot 2 covers woven round 'POLICE' upper-arm patches with hook-and-loop backs and personalised rectangular name tags, 10 pieces per name. Lot 3 covers round 'POLICE' upper-arm patches made of foam rubber and PVC in 3D, with hook-and-loop backs, produced by casting, die-cutting or a comparable process. The lots are split because the products differ fundamentally in manufacturing method, material and technical requirements, and awarding by lot promotes competition among specialised manufacturers.
