Basierend auf dem «Reglement über den Betrieb des Verteilnetzes und die Energielieferung des Elektrizitätswerks der Stadt Zürich (ewz) 732.210», stellt ewz für die Verrechnung der Tarife Mess-, Steuer- und Kommunikationsgeräte zur Verfügung. Für deren Erstellung und Betrieb sind physische Demontagen, Wechsel und Einbauten erforderlich. ewz vergibt von 2025 bis 2026 mit jährlichen Optionen bis längstens Ende 2029 Demontage-, Wechsel- sowie Montageaufträge von Elektrizitätszähler, Kommunikations- und Rundsteuergeräten. Es handelt sich um Aufträge aus dem Tagesgeschäft, aus Revisionen sowie Stichproben. Charakteristische Merkmale sind die zeitnahe Erledigung von Aufträgen mit kurzen Vorlaufzeiten sowie die erhöhten Anforderungen an die Planung.
