Die Schweiz hat den Zuschlag für die Organisation und Durchführung der Special Olympics World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 erhalten. Die Special Olympics World Winter Games, welche die zweitgrösste Wintersportveranstaltung nach den Olympischen Winterspielen ist, werden vom 10. bis 18. März 2029 ausgetragen. Sie finden in den Regionen Graubünden und Zürich statt und es werden bis zu 2‘500 Athletinnen und Athleten mit den dazugehörigen Betreuungsteams aus über 100 Nationen erwartet. Vor dem sportlichen Teil werden die Delegationen in 100 Schweizer Gemeinden das sogenannte Host Town-Programm erleben, welches den Austausch zwischen Sportler:innen und Bevölkerung zum Ziel hat und auch die Akklimatisierung beinhaltet. Das Special Olympics World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 Local Organizing Committee (LOCWWG2029) ist ein gemeinnütziger Verein, der die volle Verantwortung für die Planung und Durchführung der World Winter Games Switzerland 2029 übernimmt. Im Rahmen der Planung wird über diese Ausschreibung ein Dienstleister gesucht, welcher die im Leistungsverzeichnis beschriebenen erforderlichen Inhalte vollumfänglich liefern und leisten kann. Im gegenständlichen selektiven Verfahren ist in der ersten Stufe zunächst durch interessierte Bewerber ein Teilnahmeantrag abzugeben, in welchem die Eignung nach den in der Stufe genannten Kriterien nachzuweisen ist. Die Bewerber, deren Eignung positiv geprüft wurde, werden in der Folge zur Abgabe eines entsprechenden Angebotes aufgefordert. Die Mindestzahl der Bewerber, die zur Angebotsabgabe aufgefordert werden ist, sofern sich entsprechend Unternehmen bewerben und als geeignet geprüft wurden, 3.
