Description

Ausgangslage Die Gemeinde Ittigen plante die Entwicklung des zentralen Gebiets "Zentrum Rain", das seit den 1970er Jahren bestand und ursprünglich für 20‘000 Einwohner konzipiert worden war. Ein Masterplan aus dem Jahr 2013 fokussierte sich auf die Verbesserung der Aussenräume, wobei einige Massnahmen bereits umgesetzt wurden. Im Jahr 2020 wurde ein neuer Kindergarten gebaut, und der Gemeinderat beschloss, anstelle eines Parkplatzes eine Begegnungszone zu errichten. Die Sanierung der Dreifachsporthalle und des Mehrzweckgebäudes wurde aufgrund des schlechten Zustands zugunsten eines Neubaus verworfen. Ein ganzheitlicher Masterplan "Rain" wurde daraufhin erstellt, um eine langfristig optimale Nutzung des Areals sicherzustellen. Dazu wurde ein einstufiger Projektwettbewerb für den Neubau der Sport- und Freizeitanlagen durchgeführt, bei dem innovative, nachhaltige Konzepte gefragt waren. Das Siegerprojekt von LEISMANN AG dient nun als Grundlage für die weitere Planung und Umsetzung. Zielsetzung Die Anlage in Ittigen liegt auf einem terrassierten Hochplateau und wird durch locker verteilte Solitärbauten und eine fragmentarische Allee geprägt. Zur Stärkung des Hauptplatzes wurde ein zweigeschossiges Gebäude als neuer zentraler Punkt integriert, das in die bestehende Dreifachturnhalle eingebaut wurde. Ein Arkadenraum auf der Westseite markiert den Eingang zum neuen Zentrum und schafft eine einladende Atmosphäre. Die Gebäude wurden so angeordnet, dass die Durchlässigkeit des Campus erhalten bleibt und Verbindungen zwischen den Sportfeldern und dem zentralen Platz gefördert werden. Die Fassadengestaltung spiegelt das Konzept des Stapelns und Fügungen wider, mit Sichtbetonstützen und Holzfassadenelementen. Abwechselnde Fensterformen beleben die Fassaden und lockern den architektonischen Ausdruck. Die Umgebung wurde durch Baumreihen und neue Fusswegverbindungen aufgewertet, um den Rain-Platz als zentralen Begegnungsort zu etablieren. Nachhaltigkeit wurde durch die Erhaltung und punktuelle Auflockerung des Betonpflasters sowie die Schaffung neuer Grünflächen betont. Der neu gestaltete Platz bietet Raum für verschiedene Nutzungen und bleibt gleichzeitig flexibel, um temporär als Parkplatz genutzt zu werden.
