The Joint Research Centre (JRC) at Ispra, in the province of Varese, is procuring compulsory third party motor vehicle liability insurance for motor vehicles that it owns and operates and that are registered under the applicable Italian regulations. The service also includes additional guarantees covering the vehicles. The insurance is governed by the Italian Code of Private Insurance, Legislative Decree no. 209 of 7 September 2005, as subsequently amended and supplemented. The scope is limited to the JRC Ispra site and its registered fleet of motor vehicles, covering the statutory liability obligations arising from the circulation of those vehicles on public roads.
