Description

Als fysiologische metingen van de epicardiale vaten geen verklaring voor de klachten van de patiënt wordt in ons centrum frequent additionele intracoronaire fysiologische metingen zoals CFR en IMR voor de microcirculatie verricht. Wanneer microvasculaire afwijkingen de klachten afdoende verklaren, kan worden afgezien van stentplaatsing en zijn aanvullende beeldvormende onderzoeken zoals MRI of PET niet nodig. Voor CFR- én IMR-metingen is uitsluitend apparatuur van Abbott geschikt. De betreffende apparatuur is reeds in eigendom en blijft de komende vier jaar up-to-date. Enkel de apparatuur en FFR-wires (de PressureWire) van voornoemde ondernemer heeft voornoemde toepassingsmogelijkheden, waarmee mededinging ontbreekt op basis van technische gronden.
